On this day, one year from today, at 12:40pm our lives were forever changed. Our sweet baby girl was born. She was healthy, beautiful and we were unbelievably blessed! I didn’t have a crazy birth story, but we had a crazy two weeks of adjusting to life with a baby and all the new mommy challenges that come with it, but we survived! Sleep deprived and happy…oh so happy!!! Pat and I were remembering the first week and how we got a total of 10 hours of sleep the entire week! Holy moly, we didn’t think we would make it, but alas, we did and we would do it all over again for her!
We sent out these beautiful birth announcements to our friends and family. I couldn’t decide between all of the beautiful photos of Harlow, so I decided to make a folded card for her announcement. Inside the card was the letterpress announcement designed to look like a birth certificate complete with her little foot prints that we scanned and vectorized so we could letterpress into the paper! I love the way it turned out! We also did a little hand-drawing of a stork on the announcement, but my favorite is the photo on the back where she gave us a little smile. Be still my heart!
