Getting Started

How It Works

Yay! We are excited to work on your paper goods. Just let us know what you would like to see in your invitation suite by filling out the form to the right. We can’t wait to hear how you want to customize one of our designs, with ink color, fonts, papers, envelope liners and how you want to accessorize your suite with bands, pockets, wax seals, etc.

Once we receive your information, you will receive a contract with a non-refundable deposit of $100. This deposit secures a spot on our design schedule and officially opens your invitation order. Payment is accepted by Check or Credit Card via PayPal. The balance will be billed at the time of the projects completion, and the final invoice will reflect all changes to the order (and 7% sales tax for Florida residents).

Turnaround Time

First Proof – 2-3 business days (Monday – Friday).

Revisions – typically take 1-3 business days depending on how extensive they are.

Printing – once everything is approved and signed off on, we will get your beautiful designs on the press. Printing takes 10-15 business days.

Designing Your Invitations

Once we receive your deposit, you will receive a digital proof of the invitation suite you selected within 2 business days of receiving your information. At this time, we will offer advice on colors, etiquette and pulling your style together in your paper goods. Please feel free to ask all the questions you have. We can work together via email or jump on a phone call or schedule an in-person meeting.

Proofing

If revisions are required, you will receive updated proofs within 1-2 business days. There are no cost for revisions, we just work and work until you are 100% satisfied with your wedding suite and they are perfect!

**Please note, if you opt to have a custom hand drawing or watercolor, we offer 2 rounds of complimentary revisions included with every order, and additional revisions are available at an additional cost.

Approval

Once the invitations are perfect and you are ready to sign off on them. We will send you a final mockup along with a proof sheet. Please remember, you are responsible for ensuring that the quantities, wording, colors and event details of your order are accurate, along with any additional embellishments or upgrades you have chosen to add to your design.

Final Payment

As soon as you’ve approved your order, you will submit final payment – this is required for the printing process to begin. I recommend having several sets of eyes to review your final proof, as additional changes will result in additional expense and a longer production time. From here, all that’s left to do is relax, check one more thing off your to-do list, have a glass of wine, and mark off the days on your calendar until your beautifully printed invitations arrive!

Printing & Production

Printing takes between 2-3 weeks. After your order has been printed, the finishing touches and assembly will begin.

Addressing

We are happy to address your invitations. We offer digital calligraphy. The addresses are printed directly onto the envelopes with matching fonts. If we do the addressing, it is already built into your 2-3 week production time. We will send you a template spreadsheet of how we need all addresses formatted.

If you opt for hand calligraphy, we can recommend several. The client is responsible for coordinating all calligraphy services. Usually a calligrapher requires 2-4 weeks for addressing and 15-25 additional envelopes, which should be factored into your order. We are happy to ship or have the envelopes ready ahead of time so that your calligrapher can get started on the addressing while we are still printing & hand assembling your beautiful invitations.

Shipping / Pickup

If you are local, we encourage you to pickup your invitations at our St. Petersburg studio.

If you prefer to have your invitation shipped. All orders are shipped via UPS with tracking and insurance. Your original estimate will not include shipping. Shipping costs are not calculated until your order has been printed & packaged. Then shipping cost is based on the order weight and destination. We will send you different shipping options (ground, 2day or overnight) for you to select. And then, the very best part of all if receiving your beautiful hand crafted wedding invitations. We hope you oogle and aww over them as much as we did before we sent them on their way to you!

We are happy to offer digital calligraphy on your return address / guest address and rsvp envelope. Return address and RSVP envelope can be letterpresses, foiled or digitally printed. The guest addressing can only be digitally printed.
