This year we got to work on some fun custom graduation announcements. These announcements were created for my sister-in-law, Grace, who was graduating from high school. She is a really fun girl and we wanted to create something that reflected her personality. We ended up creating two different announcements for her. First, Pat painted a portrait of Grace and then scanned and posterized the image, then we built the design around the image. We used her school colors and played with different fonts to create a mixed typography design that is very playful and fun. We even included her senior superlatives. Since this is her high school graduation, I wanted to play-off the idea of her yearbook and create a photo montage of Grace and her friends throughout high school. This photo montage worked perfect for her envelope liner. For the second announcement we took the design down a couple notches and made it a little bit more classic but still kept it playful by using the swirly font. They loved each design so much they decided to go with both.

I love this photo of Grace at her graduation. I love how she is giving me the same look thats on her announcement. We love you Grace! Congrats!!
