I had the privilege of working closely with A&P Designs this past year while planning my January wedding. I knew I wanted a letterpress invitation and a wedding invitation that symbolized my husband’s and my personalities. Since A&P Designs has symbols and themes already pre-set in their Letterpress Design Bar, our invitations were affordable but still uniquely beautiful. The moment we stepped foot into the studio, we were greeted warmly and asked all about the details for our big day. After listening to our wedding theme and vision, Alicia recommended and showed us so many beautiful options that embodied our vision and helped make our vision a reality. We are Greek Orthodox, and Alicia helped us find the most beautiful invitation with an olive branch wreath that symbolized our wedding crowns. Not only was our letterpress invitation perfect but it was also more affordable than other options we found online. Alicia and Pat not only listened to our vision, but they helped us create the most beautiful wedding invitations that incorporated our wedding colors, themes and symbols. They also devoted as much time as we needed at our appointment to make sure our invitations and table signs had the perfect colors and looks and everything matched cohesively. As a result, our invitations told our wedding story perfectly.

I remember the comments we received after we mailed our invitations. My friends and family told me that our letterpress invitations were most classically beautiful invitations they had ever seen. A&P Designs also then helped us create beautiful table numbers and wedding signs that helped make our classic wedding look a cohesive reality.

A&P Designs is a truly fantastic stationery and paper vendor. One of the best parts of working with Alicia and A&P Designs is that they allow you to design your own custom letterpress stationery – meaning that you get a unique product for no more than you might spend on a “chain” letterpress stationery set (e.g., William Arthur, Crane).

From day one, they spent the time to get to understand me as both a person and a bride to ensure that they could produce items that would reflect my style and personality. We had several meetings – both in person and over email/the phone (as I am in California) – to review the details of my design requests and get a better understanding of the actual products I would like. Each time that Alicia and her team submitted several designs that ranged from “safe” to “pushing the edge” in an effort to hit the nail on the head. And, they certainly did! In addition to the traditional invitation suite, we also created some unique (and tricky!) day-of papers, including die-cut leaves to place on top of clementines for escort cards and a menu letterpressed onto a paper bag that would hold the bread. Alicia and her team took the initiative in finding solutions that would fit these distinct requests. All of the designs were well-thought-out and beautiful. In the end, my entire invitation suite and day-of papers were better than I could have imagined.

Additionally, Alicia and her team were willing to adapt their styles to work with me. Whether that meant doing reviews via email, or taking the extra time to send proofs, Alicia always made sure that I felt taken care of and comfortable with the product before producing it. Even though I was thousands of miles away from Alicia during the process, she was able to make it a collaborative process and produce truly unique products that complimented the wedding (and my style) perfectly!

I would highly recommend Alicia to anyone looking to design invitations or cards – and especially those who are looking for wedding invitations outside of the “run of the mill” items you find in most shops. She’s a pleasure to work with and delivers a high-quality product.
