One of our favorite new features on the Design Bar is the Design of the Month! For the month of May the design featured is the Lace invitation. The lace invitation suite was inspired by a beautiful vintage lace I found while perusing my usual antique shops. I thought the lace was the perfect balance of grace, elegance and old beauty. I was inspired to create an invitation that gave off the same vibe. We have created this invitation design for many brides and I always love to see how each time the invitation really reflects a completely different look & style to match that of the clients. The invitation can be printed in any size you want. A 5×7 size is standard but certainly we can make it 4×9 (like the above) or even square shape!
This bride was incorporating a lot of vintage moths into her wedding style, so we added a hand drawing of a moth and pressed it into the paper. We also moved the lace around to just the top.
For this suite, we added the lace design at the top and kept the font of the names in a serif font. This keeps the design clean with a fresh feel.
For this suite we did a two color letterpress invitation and then just a 1color on the rsvp and pulled in the lace design on the back of the envelopes too.
With this suite we mixed up the paper color on the accommodations card. This is another affordable option to pull in your color palette without having to use 2 ink colors.
