I had a great time designing these destination wedding save the dates. I created them for my good friend Liz who lives in Wisconsin but is getting married here in Clearwater. She had lots of great tropical inspired ideas for her save the dates. She originally loved the idea of a tropical postcard but as the process went along she started to fall in love with the idea of a message in the bottle save the date. She couldn’t decide which she loved best, so much she decided to go with both.
For the postcard, Pat hand-painted a tropical scene that we scanned and added to a postcard. On the back of the postcard we were able to incorporate a personalized note from the bride and groom. For the message in the bottle save the dates, we designed a beautiful shell motif on the invitation using her blue and yellow color scheme. We rolled the invitation and wrapped it with decorative Japanese tape and inserted it into the bottle along with shells and sand from the beach she is getting married on. I loved being able to work with Liz on her paper goods… she has such an amazing vision for her wedding and I am happy to be able to bring it to life on paper.
