Hi friends! Yes, you are still with your favorite designers of Seaside Invitations.  What do you think of our newly redesigned blog? We have been working with the always, amazing Chris of Synergy Web Productions, for the past couple of weeks creating this little beauty. For some time now, we have wanted to change up the blog and make it a bit more personal.  We are still going to bring you into our studio and show you all the amazing things we have been working on along with what is inspiring us at the moment but we also wanted to make it a bit more personal as well. We invite you to travel along with us as we journey down uncharted paths of owning a business and coming into our own living every day to the fullest.

With this new blog design comes a whole new format. I will be blogging everyday. Yes, you heard it! Everyday! So make sure to check back often, as we will be updating the blog on a regular basis. We will have a couple new series starting this week that will be weekly additions to the blog. In addition to the weekend adventurer posts, we will introduce two new series, Paper Etiquette and If I. The “Paper Etiquette” series will discuss and answer all those questions you have on addressing, postage, wording your invitations and everything else that has to do paper know-how’s. 🙂

The “If I” series will showcase my visualization of the party that an invitation is representing. The invitation is the first impressions your guests will receive and will immediately evoke emotion and thought about what the party will be like. When designing a party invitation, I like to visualize what the party will be like, what the decorations will be, what the food will be like, and what the people will wear. In this series, I will put my visions to life and show you what I would expect “IF I” receive the invitation.

And lastly, as you explore around on our new blog you will probably notice a link to Even Keel Studio. You might be thinking, what is this? Well… my sweet husband Pat who not only uses his talents drawing our amazing illustrations and pressing our letterpress invites and stationery but he also paints. He has created a beautiful studio filled of gorgeous surf and ocean inspired paintings. Please check it out and let us know what you think! All of his paintings are available for purchase as the original artwork, prints or stationery.

Feel free to stay awhile and check back often.

Cheers to a productive and fun last week of April.
