FallInspirationBoard Seaside InvitationsThis week I am inspired by Thanksgiving and the season Fall. I created this inspiration board to help get my in the spirit of the season. Although in Florida we don’t get to experience a real fall season, I always envision riding my bike to a local farmers market in the crisp cool breeze wearing cozy sweaters and boots. I love the idea of beautiful brown, green and red leaves falling at my feet and seeing pumpkins lined up along peoples door steps. I love the smells from the kitchen as homemade apple pies are made. I just love this time of year, to me Fall represents togetherness.

This inspiration board inspired me to create this “thankful for you” note card. The note card set features a hand drawn turkey and beautiful patterned liner and is available in my etsy shop. When thinking of the holidays I am always so appreciative of family and friends. Every year, before we dig into our feast of a meal we mention what we are thankful for. This year, I thought how special it would be to send a hand written note to those you are thankful for. This note card set is 10% off until this Friday. If you would like to take advantage of this offer please send me an email with the code THANKFUL in your purchase request.

I don’t know about you but this year has FLOWN by, can you believe thanksgiving is next weekend? Every thanksgiving, we travel up to Gainesville, Florida to visit family. We have a couple traditions we have started over the years and other traditions that I have joined in on since becoming part of the Rohan family. The night before Thanksgiving, we always make homemade apple pie which includes an apple pealing contest and a flour fight. On thanksgiving, we have our annual Turkey Bowl, where all the men in the family play football and all the women sit along the sidelines to cheer on the guys, socialized and eat homemade potatoe soup. Then on Friday, we wake up really early to participate in all the Black Friday sales.  Speaking of Black Friday sales, make sure to check back early next week, we are going to be hosting a HUGE Black Friday Sale. All this talk about family, traditions, food and seeing this inspiration board got me so excited for next week! I am going to go put some sweaters and boots on and pretend it’s not warm in Florida.

What are your family traditions during Turkey day? How do you get prepared for Thanksgiving?
